A trip of a lifetime!

Thanks to the West Island Crusade against Cancer and WestJet, I was able to take a trip of a lifetime.

When I purchased the ticket, I never expected to really win, but was extremely excited when I did. Having the opportunity to fly anywhere WestJet flies was a pretty tough decision on where to go. I chose to go to Ireland and brought a friend whose dream was to visit there one day.

We decided to make it a 10-day trip where we flew into Dublin, travelled to Northern Ireland, then Ferried to Scotland and returned back to Ireland and toured southern Ireland and back to Dublin to return home. We had an AMAZING time. We made a lot of new friends, saw such beautiful sights and made sure that we left a little part of us wherever we went by handing out Canada pins to everyone we had the pleasure to meet.

On a note, there was a problem with our flight back BUT... WESTJET went way above and beyond at making it up to us. Because of the delay in flight, WestJet gave food vouchers for breakfast, then when the flight was delayed longer they bused the entire plane of people to a 5 star to the Co. Meath where close by is the hill of Tara (this is where the Royal seat of the Ard Ri na hEireann is. All the Ancient High King's of Ireland were crowned here. It was the official Pagan Irish Holy Land.) How COOL is that! We rested, relaxed and had dinner then bussed back to the airport to return home. And once home we were all given a discount on our next WestJet flight.

Needless to say, I WILL be returning back to Ireland and WestJet has certainly gained a customer with me.
