Donate to our Charity WICAC

WE WELCOME YOUR DONATION

After donating financially to a charity or non profit organization, you may feel an internal tug to get more involved with the cause by donating your time and skill. By volunteering, you have the chance to build your social circles while enjoying the physical, spiritual and mental benefits from the labor you contribute to your favorite cause.

Donating your time to your cause provides you the chance to get to know new people and expand your circle of friends. When you donate your time or expertise to a worthy cause, this is especially true. Though most charitable organizations always need money, many could not operate without an army of volunteers. As being potential friends, who knows where these new relationships will take you and how these new people might be able to help you in the future?

As well when you donate to a non profit group or a charitable organization, the money you donate is tax deductible. Although some non profits and charitable organizations might only issue a receipt starting at 25$. But not only is the money you give tax deductible, so are the amounts you spend on travel, parking costs and even convention and event fees that are related to the non-profit group, as long as you are not being reimbursed by the charity for these expenses.

We hope that we have provided you with enough benefits to get you started. So what are you waiting for?

The act of helping other people can create an improved sense of well-being. Knowing that you sacrificed something for example like time, financial resources or assets so as to help other people in need can provide you with a sense of purpose in your life or work and inner satisfaction.

There are millions of people in the world who are worse off than we are at any one time. Many of these men and women have troubles that are not their error or are beyond their ability to change or prevent. Human beings are a social animal and the most effective way for mankind to advance is by helping those individuals who are incapable of helping themselves. We have a responsibility to care for other people, to help those less privileged than our own selves. Time or goods, it is an opportunity to help out if one can.

When considering donating to a charity, many people tend to research the issues connected to that organization. This knowledge may position you to help increase the awareness of social problems among those in your sphere of influence from a balanced and educated standpoint.

Individuals who give feel happier, are less anxious and suffer much less depression than those who don't. Even better health is enjoyed by people who donate their expertise, time or money to others who are in need. Charitable people have a tendency to be able to handle their own situations more easily than those who don't donate.

Here at WICAC, we could not help our causes without peoples generous donations. Being a registered non profit charity we make sure that all the money raised goes directly to Canadian Cancer Society, NOVA West Island, and the West Island Palliative Care. If you are new to the site and would like to donate to our charity then please feel free to do so.

We also could not do this without the army of volunteers who help us pull off our events. So if you are not able to give financially at this time but still want to contribute, then we thank you first of all and ask that you fill out a contact form with a brief message telling us what event you would like to help out with. Don't forget that we are also always looking for new ways to raise money for our organization and welcome any ideas especially if you would like to run the charity event yourself with your group of volunteers. We will share our experience with you and help you get started on your goals.

If you are still not sure about donating time or money or resources then you should continue reading as we have mentioned the numerous benefits of giving and some of the information may shock you and we hope it gets you in the spirit of giving.
