The West Island Crusade Against Cancer (WICAC) is a registered non profit charity organization dedicated to helping provide annual donations to The Canadian Cancer Society, NOVA West Island, and the West Island Palliative Care Center through fund raising events for both the family and some geared towards the over 18 crowd like our annual Pub Quiz.

 

The West Island Crusade against Cancer organizes and runs sporting, entertainment and cultural activities and performances through the year. The intent is to involve citizens of all ages, all capabilities and all interests, and all sections of society so these events become not only a pleasure, but a learning, working and development experience engendering community involvement. These events are held throughout the year but the culmination and centre point of activities occurs during the springtime with a full day's extravaganza. Typical acts performing through the day have been the Beatles tribute band, Day Tripper, Joey Elias and members of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.

 

We are always on the lookout for volunteers and we would also welcome anybody who has an idea that they would like to try as a fundraiser to donate the funds to one of our charities.
