The cornerstone of West Island Crusade against Cancer’s spectrum of events is the ANNUAL GALA. Since 2001, each year W.I.C.A.C. has hosted an evening of fun and fundraising featuring such talent as Bowser and Blue, David Pryde, Derek Seguin, the late Ernie Butler, Heidi Foss, David Merry, Joey Elias and the Bionic Yahoos.
In 2010 the superb Beatles cover band Day Tripper provided the entertainment for Brits and non-Brits alike. The addition of musical entertainment and dancing to the show was so popular that it has now become an annual part of the evening.
There are two levels of support available to attract as many supporters as possible. Corporate-level support features premium seating, first-class buffet and other perks. The non-corporate support level still features excellent seating and a great buffet dinner at a modest price.
In addition, the silent auction is a major component of our fund-raising initiative. A huge selection of donated items is available for bidding.
Currently being held at the Baie d'Urfe Curling Club, this venue offers easy access and unlimited free parking.
